ADVANTAGES OF HAVING PARTS CUT BY FIBER LASER:
- Elimination of tool cost for small volume and prototype work
- Can cut up to .5″ thick Steel
- Can cut up to .25″ thick Aluminum & Stainless Steel
- Laser Table can hold up to a 96″ x 240″ sheet
DISADVANTAGES OF HAVING PARTS CUT BY FIBER LASER:
- After cut: hardened edge leads to the material being harder to machine
- Due to heat – long narrow parts offend tend to warp
- Can only cut conductive metals (No plastic, wood, reflective material, perforated sheets)
