What is a Fiber Laser?

A fiber laser is a hot cutting method that can pierce through different materials with the help of a focused laser beam using a high-power density setting. It uses the laser beam as the main heat and light source to provide intense heat and illuminate the workpiece. It offers a significant level of control during the cutting process. While cutting, you can control the heat, gases, gas pressure, and so on. Therefore, this helps us create intricate objects of any size or shape using materials with different densities.

What type of Fiber Laser do we have?

4KW Ermaksen Fiber Laser – This machine is a precision sheet metal CNC fiber laser. Our machine operates very similar to a waterjet but has very key differences. For example, it uses a laser powered and focused in by a fiber line. The machine also features a dual shuttle table system, allowing the 96″ x 240″ tables to always be ready and available for new jobs coming ahead. Other features are a terrain follower, automatic height calibration, engraving (etching), sheet detection software and quick setup changes due to a high end IPG laser head.
